Engineer - Aircraft Systems

Job Description

Must have experience in engineering aircraft systems installations. Experience in writing technical reports would be a plus. The ideal candidate will have worked for a company that specializes in doing Supplemental Type Certificates for various aircraft improvements. The work may involve many of the following activities:

  • Research aircraft application information through Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Wiring Diagram Manuals and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Develop and design equipment mounting and installations.
  • Develop and design hydraulic plumbing installations, including selection of fittings and hardware.
  • Develop and design modifications to existing aircraft parts, such as secondary structures.
  • Produce drawings for parts, assemblies and installations.
  • Coordinate with aircraft OEM's and repair stations to facilitate aircraft modifications.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors for purchased components and subcontracted work.
  • Draft revisions and supplements for Aircraft Flight Manuals and technical publications.
  • Write compliance reports for FAA certification.
  • Use of SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.

This is a well-compensated position, commensurate with the candidate's experience, that will require living and working in Tulsa, OK.
